Beaver Soccer announces 11 commitments to program for Fall of 2026

BSU Women’s Soccer head coach Jim Stone announces 11 signees to program

BEMIDJI, Minn. — Bemidji State University Women's Soccer head coach Jim Stone announced the signing of 11 student-athletes during the NCAA Division II early signing period. Kylie Chindavong, Jayda Davis, Haylee Gallas, Julia Lewis, Emma Marzean, Brenna Nichols, Meredith Paar, Allie Rippentrop, Oceane Tsopzang Chekouo, Olivia Utley, Grace White have each signed institutional athletics aid agreements from Bemidji State to attend and play soccer during the fall of 2026.
 
"Time will tell but we feel like this recruiting class could be as good as any that we've signed and we've had some great ones," said Stone. "From goalkeeping to goalscoring and everything in between this class has it all. Lots of talent and character being added to our Beaver family and I'm excited for this group."
 
*Kylie Chindavong – Midfield – 5-4 – Brooklyn Park, Minn. (Osseo HS/MapleBrook SC)
Prior to BSU: Four-year letterwinner for the Osseo High School girls soccer program… Played club soccer at MapleBrook SC… Named to All-Northwest Suburban Team in 2024 and 2025… Helped MapleBrook SC to a Minnesota State Cup Championship and National Cup Finalist in 2025… Two-year captain for the Orioles… National Honor Society member… "A" Honor Roll member and Academic Letter winner.
 
Personal: Daughter of Kemp Chindavong and Bick Prathoumthong… Born on Jan. 17, 2008… Plans to major in Exercise Science at BSU… Father, Kemp, played soccer at Urbana University and cousin, Jaylen, played soccer at Upper Iowa University.
 
Coach Stone on Kylie: "Kylie is your prototypical 10, she wants the ball at her foot and rewards teammates when she gets it. She has beautiful touch and good vision and is a playmaker who can also score from the midfield. We're excited to welcome her in."
 
*Jayda Davis – Defense – 5-7 – Rochester, Minn. (Dover-Eyota HS/North Star FC)
Prior to BSU: Letterwinner for the Dover-Eyote High School girls soccer, basketball and track and field programs… Competed for the North Star FC club team… Two-time All-State First Team selection… Three-time All-Three Rivers Conference selection… All-conference selection in track and field and all-conference honorable mention in basketball.. Holds school record in the pole vault… Member of the school's President's List, Minnesota Honor Society and valedictorian.
 
Personal: Daughter of Jamie and Jill Davis… Born on Nov. 13, 2007… Undecided on a major while attending BSU… Mother, Jill, played basketball and Father, Jamie, played baseball and basketball at Dakota State University.
 
Coach Stone on Jayda: "Jayda is an incredible athlete, fast, coordinated and intuitive. Her ceiling is really high and she has the mentality and desire to reach it. Very coachable and positive, she has that Beaver vibe that has defined our program over the years. Excited to have her joining our family here."
 
*Haylee Gallas – Defense/Midfield – 5-4 – Loves Park, Ill. (Belvidere North HS/Rockford FC)
Prior to BSU: Letterwinner for the Belvidere North High School soccer and cross country programs… Competed for the Rockford Raptors FC club team… All-State, All-Area, All-Conference, All-Sectional Honorable Mention in soccer… Voted team captain and MVP… Selected to Chicagoland All-State team… Holds school record for single-season assists (19)… All-conference selection in cross country and voted team's hardest worker, MVP and captain… National Honor Society member, and honor roll selection.
 
Personal: Daughter of Jon and Nichole Gallas… Born on July 31, 2008… Plans to major in Biology-Medical Sciences at BSU… Father, Jon, ran cross country and track at Augustana College… Mother, Nichole, ran cross country and track at Augustana College.
 
Coach Stone on Haylee: "Haylee is a really intelligent player who can and has played multiple positions. She is a gritty defender but equally as effective on the ball in creating and keeping possession but also creating goals. She has played at a high level and adds a lot of value to our program both as a player and a person who is very kind and caring."
 
*Julia Lewis – Forward/Midfield – 5-2 – Minot, N.D. (Minot North HS/Magic City)
Prior to BSU: Four-year letterwinner for the Minot North High School girls soccer program… Competed for the Magic City club soccer team… First Team All-State selection in 2024… Captain of the Sentinels, voted team's hardest worker and player of the season award… Scored the game-winning goal in the 2023 state championship game as a sophomore… Scored the second most goals for the Sentinels as a midfielder in 2025.
 
Personal: Daughter of Sean and Lorena Lewis… Born on April 21, 2008… Undecided on a major at BSU… Has three sisters that played collegiate soccer… Sister, Sofia, played soccer at Minot State and is playing professionally with Brooklyn FC in the USL… Sister, Olivia, played University of Wisconsin and Minot State… Sister, Mia, played at Eastern Florida State College and Minot State.
 
Coach Stone on Julia: "Julia is an energy player; she thrives off winning 50/50s and has that blue collar mentality that we so desire in this program. In addition, she has the technical ability and vision to both score and assist. I think she can develop into a great player and I'm excited to work with her."
 
*Emma Marzean – Goalkeeper – 5-10 – Buffalo, Minn. (Buffalo HS/Legacy FC)
Prior to BSU: Four-year letterwinner for the Buffalo High School girls soccer program… Competed for the Legacy FC club soccer program… All-Lake Conference in 2024… All-Lake Conference Honorable Mention in 2025… Star Tribune Minnesota Top 25 team selection in 2025… Set all goalkeeper records for the Bison girls soccer program… Tri-M Music Honor Society member… Honor Roll member… Academic Letter… Solo and Ensemble Superior scores.
 
Personal: Daughter of Jesse Marzean and Jill Pooler… Born on May 9, 2008… Plans to major in Exercise Science at BSU… Father, Jesse, ran track at Bemidji State. Mother, Jill, played volleyball at St. Olaf. Step-father, Mike, ran track at St. Cloud State.
 
Coach Stone on Emma: "Emma has all the qualities we look for in a Beaver. On the field she has a quiet confidence, great length and a presence needed for the goalkeeper position. As a person she has a genuineness and thoughtfulness towards others that we wanted on our roster."
 
*Brenna Nichols – Forward – 5-5 – Franklin, Wis. (Franklin HS/North Shore United)
Prior to BSU: Four-year letterwinner for the Franklin High School girls soccer program… Competed for the North Shore United club soccer team… Two-time First Team All-Southeast Conference selection and one Second Team all-conference selection… Voted team MVP in 2024… Scored the game-winning overtime goal to win the regional championship in 2024… High Honors list for three years.
 
Personal: Daughter of Rob and Kay Nichols… Born on Jan. 3, 2008… Plans to major in Business at BSU… Mother, Kay, played softball at Wisconsin-La Crosse.
 
Coach Stone on Brenna: "Brenna has an organic drive towards the goal that all great goal scorers have. She has a no nonsense, business-like approach to the game that I really appreciate. She's strong on the field and has strong family values that fit here."

Personal: Daughter of Scott and Karissa Paar… Born on Sept. 18, 2007… Plans to major in Nursing at BSU.
 
Coach Stone on Meredith: "Meredith is an unbelievable athlete with a work ethic to match. She puts an enormous amount of stress on a backline with her pace, movement, skill and relentless pursuit of the goal. We knew from our first interactions that she was a great fit for our program values of faith, love & hard-work."
 
*Allie Rippentrop – Forward – 5-3 – Oakdale, Minn. (Mahtomedi HS/Minnesota Thunder)
Prior to BSU: Four-year letterwinner for the Mahtomedi High School girls soccer program and two-year letterwinner for the track and field program… Competed for the Minnesota Thunder Academy Club soccer team… Guided the Zephyr's to back-to-back Minnesota Class 2A State championships in 2024 and 2025… Two-time All-Metro East Conference selection… Metro East Conference leading scorer in 2024… 2024 All-State Tournament team… 2025 team captain… Helped Minnesota Thunder to a 2025 Gothia Cup championship… State qualifier in track in the 4x1, 4x2, 4x4 and 400-meter… High Honor Roll… Varisty Academic Award.
 
Personal: Daughter of John and Jennifer Rippentrop… Born on May 24, 2008… Plans to major in Exercise Science at BSU… Mother, Jennifer, play soccer at University of Minnesota from 1993-97.
 
Coach Stone on Allie: "Allie brings a great enthusiasm and love for the game into our program. You can see it and feel it when she plays. She has incredible pace and a burst that leaves most defenders looking at the back of her jersey. She can play wide but is also comfortable coming inside. She can assist with her vision and technical ability but can also score goals using her movement off the ball. She's as kind as she is talented and she's very talented."
 
*Oceane Tsopzang Chekouo – Defense – 5-3 – Woodbury, Minn. (Math and Science Academy/St. Croix ECNL)
Prior to BSU: Letterwinner for the Math and Science Academy girls soccer program… Competed for the St. Croix ECNL club soccer team… All-State selection.. Voted team's most valuable player… All-3AA conference selection… Three-time High Honor Roll selection.
 
Personal: Daughter of Thierry Chekouo Tekougang and Eugenie Ngandjeu Nya… Born on August 10, 2008 in Bafoussam, Cameroon… Plans to major in Mathematics at BSU… Father, Thierry, played collegiate soccer at University of Montreal.
 
Coach Stone on Oceane: "Oceane is a very technically strong player. She has a mastery of the ball that allows her to keep possession in tight spaces and attack out of the back. A natural wide back who can attack and defend. I admire how she lives according to her values and I'm excited that she's a Beaver."
 
*Olivia Utley – Midfield – 5-1 – Elk River, Minn. (Elk River HS/Boreal FC)
Prior to BSU: Four-year letterwinner for the Elk River High School girls soccer program…Competed for the Boreal FC club team for nine years… All-Northwest Suburban Conference selection in 2024… Elk River High School breakout player in 2022… Helped Boreal FC reach the State Cup Championship and Midwest Regions in 2025.. Helped Boreal FC to a second place finish in the NPL and Minnesota Cup Championship in 2025… Four-time A-Honor Roll member.
 
Personal: Daughter of Greg and Lisa Utley… Born on July 16, 2008… Plans to major in Business and Economics at BSU.
 
Coach Stone on Olivia: "Olivia is that kid that every coach wants on their team. Great energy, positive, hard-working, talented and the list goes on and on. She could play the eight or the 10 or even play up top. She has great touch and balance. We feel fortunate to have her sign with us."
 
*Grace White – Midfield/Defense – 5-5 – Golden, Colo. (Lakewood HS/Colorado Rush)
Prior to BSU: Four-year letterwinner for the Lakewood High School girls soccer program… Competed for the Colorado Rush club soccer team…. Academic All-State Honorable Mention… Honor Roll member.
 
Personal: Daughter of Brandon and Sara White… Born on May 17, 2008… Undecided on a major at BSU… Brother, Jackson, played football at Chadron State.
 
Coach Stone on Grace: "We knew we wanted Grace here from the moment she stepped on campus. She has a contagious and positive enthusiasm for life that we are so excited to be bringing into our team. On the field she has great touch and a natural understanding of how and when to bring her teammates into the game with her passing. She can really pull the strings from the six or the eight."
