Barthelt adds USC Scholar All-American nod to her resume

BSU Soccer senior forward Katrina Barthelt named 2025 USC NCAA DII Women’s Scholar All-American

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Bemidji State University Soccer senior forward Katrina Barthelt has been named to the 2025 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division II Women's Scholar All-American Second Team. 
 
Split into two teams, 26 student-athletes made this season's USC Scholar All-American list with 11 on the first team and 15 on the second. Along with Barthelt, one other Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference student-athlete, midfielder Brooke Quam from St. Cloud State University, earned the honor. 
 
To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be nominated by her head coach and have at least a 3.40 cumulative grade point average, play a minimum of 75 percent of games during the season of nomination and be an elite player as supported by playing honors such as All-American, All-Region and All-Conference. Juniors and above on the field are able to be nominated for the award. The top student-athletes are selected from the All-Region Scholars list. 
 
Barthelt is finishing her degree in Exercise Science and holds a 4.00 grade point average. This year, Barthelt has earned numerous post-season accolades including, College Sports Communicators Academic All-District, NSIC Fall All-Academic Team of Excellence, D2CCA Central Region Player of the Year, All-Central Region First Team and All-America Third Team, USC All-Central Region First Team, All-NSIC First Team, NSIC Elite 18 award and the NSIC's Outstanding Women's Soccer Senior of the Year.
