BEMIDJI, Minn. – It's Thanksgiving weekend and the Bemidji State University women's hockey team will travel to Missouri for a non-conference series at Lindenwood University.

The Beavers (4-9-1, 2-9-1 WCHA) travel to Maryland Heights, Mo., for a two-game non-conference series with the Lions (4-13-1, 3-6-1 AHA) beginning Friday, Nov. 28 at 4 p.m. CST. Game two will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m.

Bemidji State Notes
- Bemidji State plays its first non-conference series of the season by traveling to face Lindenwood over Thanksgiving break.
- The Beavers are fresh-off a series split with No. 10 St. Cloud State University this past weekend at Sanford Center.
- After being held off the scoresheet in Friday's game, the Beavers responded by scoring the most goals this season with a 6-5 overtime win Saturday.
- It was the second time in three weeks that BSU upset a nationally ranked opponent and the second time in second-year head coach Amber Fryklund's tenure.
- After leading 4-1 after two periods on Saturday, SCSU responded with four unanswered goals in the third to take a 5-4 lead. However, with 31.4 seconds remaining, Isa Goettl scored an extra-attacker goal to tie the game and then 1:03 into overtime, Hailey Armstrong netted the game-winning goal to upset the Huskies.
- Goettl scored the first game-tying goal for the Beavers since Makenna Deering on Jan. 26, 2024.
- Armstrong netted the Beavers first overtime goal of the season and the first for BSU since Makenna Deering on Jan. 31, 2025.
- Goettl and Morgan Smith each had a goal and two assists in the series while Raeley Carney scored two goals.
- Carney scored twice in a game for the third time in her career and first time since Nov. 15, 2024.
- Senior Ava Hills made 38 saves for the Beavers to earn her first win as a Beaver.
- Head coach Amber Fryklund earned her 10th career win in the game.
- Smith continues to lead the Beavers in her second season after leading the Beavers during her freshman year.
- This season, she has totaled 12 points (5g-7a) in 14 games after posting 20 points (11g-9a) in 37 games in 2024-25.
- Her career goals per game average of 0.31 is the sixth best in BSU history.
- Three Beavers follow her with each posting eight points in 14 games.
- Hailey Armstrong (7g-1a), Isa Goettl (4g-4a) and Kate Johnson (1g-7a) are all tied for second on the team with eight points.
- Armstrong paces the team with her seven goals and snapped a seven-game scoring drought last Saturday.
- Isa Goettl has found her scoring touch after a tough start to the season and has five points (1g-3a) over the last four games.
- The same is with her linemate sophomore Izy Fairchild who has five points (2g-3a) over the last five games.
- Junior and St. Cloud State transfer Carmen Bray leads BSU's defenders with six points (6a) in her first season with BSU.
- Head coach Amber Fryklund has split time in net between sophomore Kaitlin Groess and senior Ava Hills.
- Groess leads the team with eight starts while Hills has made six.
- Groess has earned all three of the Beavers' four victories this season and has posted a 4.4 goals against average and .880 save percentage.
- Hills leads BSU with a 3.83 GAA and .909 save percentage which ranks fifth in the WCHA.
- Hills leads the WCHA averaging 34.3 saves per game.
- Bemidji State leads the WCHA averaging 13.4 blocked shots per game.
- Freshman defender Katy Comstock leads the team and is ninth in the WCHA with 25 blocked shots despite her 5-foot 0-inch stature.
- Bemidji State is 13-4-2 in 19 career meetings with Lindenwood
- BSU dominates the all-time series but is just 4-3-1 against the Lions in Maryland Heights.
- Hailey Armstrong and Raeley Carney lead BSU with four points against the Lions while Armstrong has four goals including netting her first collegiate hat trick and broke a program record for shots on goal (14) on Oct. 18 of last year.
- Head coach Amber Fryklund is 1-0-1 in two seasons coaching against Lindenwood
- The Beavers are in year two under the leadership of head coach Amber Fryklund.
- She has brought in 11 newcomers to the green and white including transfers Carmen Bray (St. Cloud State) and Elly Klepinger (Minnesota).
- Junior Hailey Armstrong will captain the Beavers during the 2025-26 season and will be assisted by Smith and senior Raeley Carney.
- Eight freshmen join the team in Senja Leeper (Minnetonka HS), Lola Macuiba (Shawnigan Lake School), Kasey Senden (Hill-Murray HS), Addie Morris (Benilde-St. Margaret's), Paige Smith (Edmonton Jr. Oilers), Maddie Kaiser (Balmoral Hall Prep), Katy Comstock (Warroad HS) and Ashlyn Hazlett (Minnetonka HS).
