BEMIDJI, Minn. – Bemidji State University Softball travels to Rosemont, Ill. for the Lewis Dome Invitational, hosted by Lewis University, Feb. 20-22. The Beavers will take on Purdue University Northwest, Lewis University, Wayne State University, Roosevelt University, Upper Iowa University and Hillsdale College throughout the three-day invitational.
 
BSU and PNW have seen each other just once in the pair's history, last season at the same tournament. During the tournament, the Beavers took home a 6-4 win, scoring three in the first two innings, letting up four and gaining a run in the third, then adding two more in the fourth and fifth. This Beaver team has not seen Lewis University with the last time the two teams met being during the 2020 season. BSU and LU have met twice with Lewis holding the two-win advantage.
 
Wayne State University holds the series lead at 1-0 as the Beavers fell to the Warriors 4-0 on Mar. 13, 2016. They'll take on the Roosevelt University Lakers as the second game on Friday afternoon. The Beavers and Lakers have never met before this weekend.
 
The Beavers take on former Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference opponents the Upper Iowa University Peacocks. They'll open Saturday looking to improve upon their 5-27 all-time series record. When the two teams met last season at this tournament, the Beavers brought home a 7-3 win on Feb. 24, 2024. The team will close out the tournament with a game against Hillsdale College at 11 a.m. Saturday. The Beavers are 1-0 against the Chargers after defeating them 12-1 on Mar. 17, 2017. 
 
Following this weekend's Chicago trip, the Beavers will have two weeks before heading to Clermont, Fla. for The Spring Games. They'll play 14 games in Florida before returning home to kick off NSIC play against Concordia University, St. Paul on Mar. 22.
