BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Bemidji State University Baseball team looks for a bounce-back series this weekend and travels to Wayne, Neb., for a pair of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference doubleheaders at Wayne State College Thursday-Friday.

The Beavers (1-9, 0-4 NSIC) and Wildcats (5-8, 1-3 NSIC) will play a pair of doubleheaders beginning Thursday, March 13 at the Pete Chapman Baseball Complex in Wayne, Neb. First pitch for game one is scheduled for 12:00 p.m., Thursday with game two to follow 30 minutes after. Games three and four in the series will be played Friday with first pitch also at Noon. The first game of each series will be a seven-inning outing following by nine innings in the next game.

The Beavers are looking to bounce-back from a conference opening series at (RV) Augustana where the 2025 NSIC Preseason favorite Vikings won all four games in the series.

Bemidji State is led at the plate by senior
Zach Evenson who is batting .242 with eight hits in 33 plate appearances. He has an OPS of .809 while slugging .485 and leads the team with seven RBI. He is followed by junior
Noah Drusch who is batting .241 with seven hits in 29 at bats and is leading the team with a .973 OPS and .421 on-base percentage.

On the mound, senior
Derek Hoffman leads the team with 9.1 innings pitched but will most likely see limited action this weekend on short week's rest. Junior
Devon Cooks leads the team with a 0.00 earned run average only allowing three hits in 3.1 innings of work while junior
Sawyer Nendick has also not allowed a run a 1.1 innings. Junior Matta Greiner has been dominant coming out of the bullpen allowing just two earned runs in 6.2 innings and leads the bullpen with six strikeouts. Senior
Brandon Lind leads the entire pitching staff with 11 strikeouts and has a 6.00 ERA over 9.0 innings.

Following their series with the Wildcats, the Beavers will continue NSIC play on the road with a road trip to Marshall, Minn., to face Southwest Minnesota State University March 22-23.
