BEMIDJI, Minn. – For the first time since 2022, a Bemidji State University Baseball student-athlete was selected as an Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Player/Pitcher of the Week after senior pitcher
Brandon Lind was named the NSIC Pitcher of the Week announced by the league Monday.

Lind is the first Beaver Baseball student-athlete since Will Lavin (2022) to earn the honor on April 12, 2022.

The Hibbing, Minn., native made one appearance during the week making the most of it and pitched seven innings of shutout baseball Saturday afternoon against Northern State University. Lind held the Wolves to just two hits in the Beavers' 10-2 win over NSU Saturday at BSU Baseball Field and allowed just five baserunners in total after giving up three walks. He struck out five batters to earn his third win of the season, most by a Beaver pitcher since Hunter Haggenmiller in 2021. He is now tied for seventh in the NSIC with 46 strikeouts this season and is 11 shy of becoming the 13
th pitcher in program history to reach 100 career strikeouts.

He was joined by Winona State's Cole Fuecker as the NSIC Player of the Week after be batted .545 with five home runs and five doubles.

Lind the Beavers end their seven-game home stand with a doubleheader against University of Mary Wednesday afternoon at the BSU Baseball Field.
