BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Bemidji State University Women's Hockey team gets back on the road and travels to No. 1 University of Wisconsin to face another top-five opponent in Western Collegiate Hockey Association play.

The Beavers (5-16-3, 2-15-1 WCHA) face-off against the Badgers (21-1-2, 15-1-2 WCHA) for the second time this season and begin their league series Saturday at 1:00 p.m., from LaBahn Arena Game two will be held Sunday at 11:00 a.m.

Bemidji State Notes
- Bemidji State hits the road for the first of three remaining road trips in the regular season.
- The Beavers face the Badgers for the second time this season and potentially their first-round opponent in the WCHA Playoffs.
- Wisconsin swept the Beavers in their last series to open the 2025-26 season at Sanford Center.
- The Beavers hope to end a four-game losing streak and bounce back from being swept by No. 3 University of Minnesota last weekend at home.
- 10 WCHA games remain before the WCHA Playoffs begin Feb. 27.
- Sophomore Morgan Smith leads the team with 17 points (9g-8a) through 24 games.
- She has four points (3g-1a) over the last six games and recorded a point in each game of the Beavers' series with Minnesota.
- Junior captain Hailey Armstrong paces the Beavers with 11 goals in 24 games which is tied for 14th in the WCHA.
- She reached double-digits in goals for the second time in her career and eclipsed her previous career high of 10 set last season.
- Redshirt Sophomore Isa Goettl is third on the team with 13 points (6g-7a) and leads the team with a three-game point streak (1g-3a) totaling four points during that span.
- Junior Kate Johnson leads the team with 11 assists and is fourth on the team with 12 points.
- The Beavers' goals per game average of 1.75 this season is the best since the 2019-20 season (1.92).
- Junior Carmen Bray leads the Beavers' blueline with six points off six assists.
- Sophomore Kaitlin Groess has started the last seven games and leads the team with 16 starts.
- She is 4-11-2 with a 3.81 goals against average and .882 save percentage.
- Senior Ava Hills follows with eight starts and is 1-5-1 with a 4.23 goals against average and .894 save percentage.
- Bemidji State's penalty kill has been excellent as of late and allowed its first power-play goal since Nov. 22 in game one of their series with Minnesota.
- The Beavers' penalty kill ranks sixth in the WCHA with a penalty-kill percentage of at .821 (46-56).
- Armstrong and Goettl are tied for the team lead with three power play goals while the BSU power play is seventh in the WCHA at .116 (8-69).
- The Beavers scored three power-play goals last weekend, the most in a series this season.
- Hailey Armstrong's three game-winning goals this season and is tied for fifth most in the WCHA. She is two shy of tying a program career record from most game-winning goals.
- Bemidji State leads the WCHA and is 13th nationally with 345 blocked shots.
- Freshman defender Katy Comstock leads the WCHA with 51 blocked shots despite her 5-foot-0-inch stature.
- Junior Raeley Carney leads the team and is 10th in the WCHA with a .557 face-off winning percentage.
- Sophomore Morgan Smith's 491 face-offs taken are the third most in the WCHA.
- The Beavers are in year two under the leadership of head coach Amber Fryklund.
- She has brought in 11 newcomers to the green and white including transfers Carmen Bray (St. Cloud State) and Elly Klepinger (Minnesota).
- Junior Hailey Armstrong captains the Beavers during the 2025-26 season and will be assisted by Smith and senior Raeley Carney.
- Eight freshmen join the team in Senja Leeper (Minnetonka HS), Lola Macuiba (Shawnigan Lake School), Kasey Senden (Hill-Murray HS), Addie Morris (Benilde-St. Margaret's), Paige Smith (Edmonton Jr. Oilers), Maddie Kaiser (Balmoral Hall Prep), Katy Comstock (Warroad HS) and Ashlyn Hazlett (Minnetonka HS).
