BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Bemidji State University Women's Hockey team makes its final road trip of the 2025-26 regular season and concludes a four-game road slate by traveling to face (RV) St. Cloud State University this weekend for a pair of Western Collegiate Hockey Association games.

The Beavers (6-21-3, 3-20-1 WCHA) battle the Huskies (9-19-2, 5-17-2 WCHA) for the second time this season after previously splitting their WCHA series Nov. 21-22 in Bemidji. Both games in the weekend's series will be slated for afternoon start times with game one Friday, Feb. 13 at 2:02 p.m. Game two will be Saturday at 1:02 p.m.

Bemidji State Notes
- Bemidji State concludes a four-game road streak this weekend in St. Cloud.
- The Beavers also play their final road games of the regular season.
- Bemidji State is looking to rebound from being swept by No. 10 University of Minnesota Duluth last weekend in Duluth.
- BSU opened its series with the Bulldogs with a hard-fought loss falling 2-3 to the nationally ranked Bulldogs.
- The Beavers scored two goals on the Bulldogs for the first time since Jan. 14, 2022.
- Sophomore Morgan Smith factored in on each goal potting a goal and assist while junior Hailey Armstrong netted the other goal for BSU.
- Senior Ava hills stopped 35-of-38 shots despite the loss while the Beavers totaled 31 shots on goal as team.
- However, the Bulldogs responded with a 4-0 shutout victory in game two.
- Bemidji State returns to the road where it is 1-12-3 this season.
- Bemidji State is 52-57-10 all-time against St. Cloud State and 24-29-6 when facing the Huskies on the road.
- The two teams meet previously this season on Nov. 21-22 where they split their series at Sanford Center.
- The Huskies secured a 4-0 victory in game on but the Beavers responded with a 6-5 overtime win in game two despite being down 5-4 late in the game.
- Redshirt sophomore Isa Goettl scored with 32 seconds remaining to tie the game and Hailey Armstrong netted the game-winning, overtime goal 1:03 into the 3-on-3 overtime.
- The win snapped a 13-game losing streak to the Huskies.
- Goettl and Armstrong pace the Beavers with four career points against the Huskies while Raeley Carney, Talya Hendrickson, Morgan Smith and Izy Fairchild each follow with three.
- Head coach Amber Fryklund is 1-5-0 in her two seasons coaching against the Huskies.
- Just four WCHA games remain before the WCHA Playoffs begin Feb. 27.
- Bemidji State holds eighth in the WCHA standings with nine points (3-20-1), 12 points behind St. Cloud State who sits seventh.
- Sophomore Morgan Smith leads the team with 24 points (12g-12a) through 30 games surpassing the 20-point mark she set during her freshman campaign.
- She set career marks in points (24), goals (12) and assists (12) this season and is the first Beaver since Clair DeGeorge (2018-20) with back-to-back 20-point seasons.
- She is also the first Beaver sophomore to start her collegiate career with consecutive 20-point seasons since Clair DeGeorge (2017-19).
- Smith is one of five Beavers with 20-points in their first two seasons of collegiate women's hockey joining DeGeorge (2017-20) Kelly Hart (2003-07), Caesare Stimson (2000-02) and Alicia Kinsman (1999-02).
- Junior captain Hailey Armstrong follows smith with 18 points, leads the team with 13 goals and has posted back-to-back seasons with 10 or more goals.
- She has scored a career-high 13 goals this season and tied a career-best 18 points.
- She has skated in 103 career games and totaled 32 goals in her career which is tied for 14th most at Bemidji State.
- Armstrong also has three game-winning goals leading the team this season and seven during her career which is tied for the fourth most in program history.
- Redshirt sophomore Isa Goettl is third on the team with 17 points off seven goals and 10 assists. She has also recorded career-highs in points (17), goals (7) and assists (10) this season.
- The Beavers' goals per game average of 1.67 this season is the best since the 2019-20 season (1.92).
- Junior Carmen Bray leads the Beavers' blueline and is sixth on the team with nine points off nine assists.
- Sophomore Kaitlin Groess leads BSU netminders with 17 of the team's 28 starts. She has posted a 4-12-2 record, 4.18 goals against average and .876 save percentage.
- However, senior Ava Hills has started the last five games and leads the team with a 3.99 goals against average and .899 save percentage in 13 starts.
- Bemidji State leads the WCHA and is 14th nationally with 431 blocked shots.
- Freshman defender Katy Comstock leads the WCHA and is tied for 13th nationally with 62 blocked shots despite her 5-foot-0-inch stature.
- The Beavers are in year two under the leadership of head coach Amber Fryklund.
- She has brought in 11 newcomers to the green and white including transfers Carmen Bray (St. Cloud State) and Elly Klepinger (Minnesota).
- Junior Hailey Armstrong captains the Beavers during the 2025-26 season and will be assisted by Smith and senior Raeley Carney.
- Eight freshmen join the team in Senja Leeper (Minnetonka HS), Lola Macuiba (Shawnigan Lake School), Kasey Senden (Hill-Murray HS), Addie Morris (Benilde-St. Margaret's), Paige Smith (Edmonton Jr. Oilers), Maddie Kaiser (Balmoral Hall Prep), Katy Comstock (Warroad HS) and Ashlyn Hazlett (Minnetonka HS).
