BEMIDJI, Minn. — Bemidji State University Women's Basketball finishes the regular season this weekend with a split road-and-home series against Minnesota State University Moorhead and University of Minnesota Crookston.
Tipoff in Moorhead on Thursday is set for 5:30 p.m. from Nemzek Fieldhouse. On Saturday, the Beavers will be celebrating the 2026 senior class of
Beth Bolte,
Kassandra Caron and
Tiffany Liddie. Fans are encouraged to wear their best beachwear to also celebrate "We Hate Winter" Night! Tipoff against the Golden Eagles is set for 1:30 p.m. at the BSU Gymnasium.
Bemidji State Notes
- The Beavers enter the weekend with playoff hopes on the line, sitting in 15th in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference, but holding the potential to move into a post-season spot. The Beavers are 5-15 in the NSIC and 8-16 in the conference.
- BSU is two wins behind Minnesota Crookston, who holds the last playoff position, but have two games available to move into 12th. Winning both games this weekend could potentially pin BSU and UMC against each other in the tiebreaker, which would send BSU into the playoffs. In order for this to happen, Augustana University and Wayne State College both have to lose their remaining games. Both teams take on Southwest Minnesota State University and University of Sioux Falls Thursday and Saturday and have lost to both earlier this season.
- The Beavers have taken down the Dragons and Golden Eagles already once this season in early December. Both matchups were tightly contested with MSUM falling by two points and UMC losing by 10 in overtime. Against the Dragons, the Beavers allowed just 21 combined points to the Dragons' top scorers, Terryn Johnson (11) and Aubrey Morrison (10). Scoring was more even against UMC with the top two scorers, Hope Dudycha and Anna Westby, posting 16 each, followed by Rayna Klejeski at 15 and Tayden Hanks at 11.
MSU Moorhead Notes
- MSUM is 9-11 in conference play, holding ninth in the conference. Last weekend, the Dragons posted two wins over University of Mary and Minot State University, heading into overtime against UMary but ultimately winning by seven points. MSUM travels to Duluth, Minn. Saturday to take on the Bulldogs and close the regular season.
- Scoring for the Dragons is led by Terryn Johnson who averages 12.6 points per game with a .549 field-goal shooting percentage. She also leads the team under the rim with 7.4 rebounds per game, grabbing just under three offensive boards each time.
Minnesota Crookston Notes
- The Golden Eagles' matchup against the Beavers is their final game of the regular season, falling to University of Minnesota Duluth by 20 last night.
- Emma Miller holds the top spot in scoring for the Golden Eagles, grabbing 19.3 points per game. She is shooting at .389 percent from the field and .294 from the arc, while also leading in assists per game at 3.1 and steals with 1.8 per game.
