BEMIDJI, Minn. — Bemidji State University Men's Basketball graduate forward Henry Shannon III was named this week's Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference North Division Player of the Week for his efforts during his final collegiate games. 
 
Last weekend, Shannon posted 45 points against Minnesota State University Moorhead and University of Minnesota Crookston. This included a season-best 33 points against Minnesota Crookston on his senior night. Shannon led the conference in blocks per game, finishing with six total, five of which came from strong defensive efforts against MSUM. Additionally, Shannon marked 21 rebounds, grabbing double-doubles each game, six assists and five steals. 
 
Shannon finished his BSU career with 488 points, surpassing the 1,500-career points mark in his final season of eligibility. Shannon shot .559 percent from the field and finished with 243 rebounds, 57 on offense and 186 defensive. He added 59 assists and 61 blocks, sitting just two blocks shy of the Beavers' single-season blocks record. Shannon added 37 steals, five from this weekend, and averaged 18.1 points per game.
