BEMIDJI, Minn. – Bemidji State University Men's Hockey senior captain Kirklan signed a standard player contract (SPC) to continue his hockey career and play professionally with the Atlanta Gladiators the ECHL affiliate of the Nashville Predators of the NHL and the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League, announced Monday.

Irey captained the Beavers during the 2025-26 season where he posted 10 points off a goal and nine assists in 36 games. He finished his collegiate career appearing in 134 games amassing 53 career points (21-32—53). He is a three-time Central Collegiate Hockey Association Scholar-Athlete and CCHA All-Academic Team selection and is graduating with a degree in Exercise Science from Bemidji State.

The Gladiators have clinched a spot in the Kelly Cup Playoffs and return home to Gas South Arena in Duluth, Ga., for a two-game homestand.
