Beavers land five on CSC’s Academic All-District lineup

Aukerman, Benedict, DeGraef, Larsen and Richards earn district academic honors


BEMIDJI, Minn. — Bemidji State University Softball earned five College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors this season. The list included seniors Aubrey Aukerman and Morgan Benedict, junior Jackie Larsen and sophomores Alayna DeGraef and Calleigh Richards.
 
A select group of CSC Academic All-District selections move on to be in the running for CSC Academic All-America honors. From Bemidji State, Jackie Larsen has been named a finalist for the honor. The Larsen excelled both on the field and in the classroom this season and will be voted on for the chance to receive Academic All-America honors. 
 
Jackie Larsen is the Beavers' lone repeat honoree for the list, grabbing her first CSC AAD award during her sophomore season last year. This season, Larsen also earned Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference second team honors, the first for the Beavers since 2019. She is a NFCA All-American Scholar Athlete, NSIC Spring All-Academic Team of Excellence selection and D2ADA Academic Achievement Award winner. 
 
Aubrey Aukerman and Morgan Benedict are both two-time NSIC Spring All-Academic Team of Excellence members, NFCA All-American Scholar Athletes and D2ADA Academic Achievement Award winners. This is their first time landing on the CSC Academic All-District list. Additionally, Benedict was named a NSIC Myles Brand All-Academic with Distinction Award winner during her senior season. Alayna DeGraef and Calleigh Richards join Benedict and Aukerman as a NFCA All-American Scholar Athletes and D2ADA Achievement Award winners. Richards also earned Bemidji State's Scholar Athlete Award this spring. 

To be nominated for CSC Academic All-District, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at her current institution.
 
The 2026 Academic All-District Softball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes softball honorees in four divisions – NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. 
 
Academic All-District honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America finalists will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced June 16, 2026. 
 
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and II national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All-America programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
