BEMIDJI, Minn. – Bemidji State University Women's Basketball head coach
Chelsea Stoltenberg announced the commitment of two student-athletes for the Beavers' upcoming 2023-24 season during the NCAA's early signing period Wednesday, Nov. 9.
Ashlynne Guenther (Duluth, Minn.) and
Tieryn Plasch (Lake Nebagamon, Wis.) have each signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Bemidji State and play basketball for the Beavers next winter.
All signees are contingent upon admission to BSU and compliance with NCAA rules, including certification by the NCAA Eligibility Center.

Ashlynne Guenther – 5-10 – G – Duluth, Minn. (Duluth East HS)
Guenther is a five-time letterwinner for the Duluth East High School girls basketball program… Six-year starter and four-year captain for the Greyhounds… Totaled 1567 career points and 918 career rebounds… Two-time Duluth News Tribune All-Area selection… Led her team in points per game, assists per game, steals per game and blocks per game last season… National Honor Society member, three-year honor roll and three-year academic letter winner.
Personal: Daughter of Chad and Heidi Guenther… Born on September 17, 2004… Currently undecided on a major while attending Bemidji State… Enjoys spending time with family and friends, going to her cabin, shoes, music and road trips when not on the basketball court.

Tieryn Plasch – 5-7 – G – Lake Nebagamon, Wis. (Northwestern HS)
Plasch is a letterwinner for the Northwestern High School girls basketball program… Two-time Heart O'North Conference Player of the Year… Two-time Heart O'North Conference First Team selection and once an honorable mention… Two-time All-State Honorable Mention… All-Area Player of the Year in 2020 and three-time All-Area Team selection… Reached 1,000 career points in 2021… Helped the Tigers to a conference championship and regional championship her freshman season… High Honors member and National Honor Society member.
Personal: Daughter of Chad and Kryssi Plasch… Born on May 1, 2005… Currently undecided on a major while attending Bemidji State… Enjoys hanging out with friends, ice skating, going to her cabin, shopping and making TikToks when not on the basketball court.
