BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Bemidji State University Women's Soccer found out its destination for the NCAA DII Women's Soccer Central Region Tournament Monday evening. The Beavers were seeded sixth in the regional tournament and will travel to Emporia, Kansas for the first round to face third-seeded St. Cloud State University.
The Beavers earned the automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament after winning their second consecutive Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Tournament Championship. The first and second round of the Central Region Tournament will be hosted by second seed Emporia State University.
The Beavers (12-3-6) clash with the Huskies (14-4-2) for the third time this season with BSU earning two wins including a 2-0 victory in the second round of the NSIC Tournament. Kick-off for their first-round matchup will begin at 10:00 a.m. CT on Friday, Nov. 17 with the winner will move on to face the winner of Emporia State University and Fort Hays State University, Sunday.
This will be the fourth consecutive appearance in the national tournament for the Beavers and fourth overall while the Huskies make the program's first ever appearance.
