BEMIDJI, Minn. – United Soccer Coaches announced its 2023 Division II Women's Scholar All-America Teams Friday afternoon and Bemidji State University Women's Soccer fifth-year senior Halle Peterson made the list for the second time in her career.
 
Peterson was named to the United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-America First Team after earning Third Team recognition last year.
 
To be eligible for United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-America, the student-athlete must be a junior or above in athletic standing, have at least a 3.40 cumulative grade point average and play a minimum of 75 percent of the teams games and be an elite player.
 
Peterson held a cumulative GPA of 3.74 while majoring in Business Administration and led the Beavers playing in 94.7 percent of the team's minutes on the pitch totaling 1,980 minutes. She helped the 13-4-6 Beavers hold opponents to just 16 goals through 23 matches and solidified the Beavers' backline that limited opponents to just 95 shots on goal. She also contributed offensively tying for the NSIC lead with four goals from the backline.
 
The Stillwater, Minn., native is just the second BSU Women's Soccer student-athlete to earn All-America First Team recognition from the United Soccer Coaches after Megan Dahl earned the award twice.
