Beavers travel back to Duluth for Lake Superior Challenge this Saturday

DULUTH, Minn. – The Bemidji State University Women's Track and Field team will travel back to Duluth to compete in the Lake Superior Challenge this Saturday hosted by St. Scholastica. The Beavers also made the trip to Duluth at the beginning of December.

More records and several personal-best marks happened last week when Bemidji State competed at the UND Open. Tierra Doss set the program record for the indoor sicus with a mark of 134-03, while Mary Goodwin set the program record in the 3,000 with a time of 10:09.49.

Josie Aitken will compete in the 400-meter and the 4x400 relay. Aitken set a collegiate PR in the 400 during the first visit to Duluth with a time of 1:02.02. This will be the third time competing in the 4x400 relay this indoor season.

Abbie Disbrow will enter in the 60-meter, long jump and triple jump. Disbrow set a new collegiate PR last time out in the 60 with a time of 8.27 at the UND Open. During the first visit to Duluth, she tallied a new collegiate PR distance of 15-11. This will be her first time competing in the triple jump.

Doss will compete in the shot put and weight throw. This will be her fourth time competing in the shot put this indoor season. Her top distance of 44-8.25 happened during the first visit to Duluth. This will be her third time entering in the weight throw of the indoor season with a PR mark of 53-3.75 during the Twin Ports Invite.

Alexis Erickson will compete in the 1,000, high jump and the relay. Erickson is coming off a new PR height in the high jump last time out reaching 5-1.75. This will be her first time competing in the 1,000 and the second time running in the 4x400, the first time happening in Duluth.

Natalie Fultz will compete in the 60-meter hurdles, high jump, long jump, shot put and 4x400 relay. Fultz opened the indoor season setting a new PR in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.92. She set a new PR in the high jump at the Twin Ports Invite with a height of 5-3.75. Also during the first visit to Duluth, Fultz set a new PR in the long jump reaching a distance of 16-8.75. She will compete in the shot put for the second time this indoor season after throwing in the event during the pentathlon last week hitting a mark of 27-6. This will be her second time running a leg of the 4x400.

Alexis Gehrig will compete in the shot put and weight throw. She recently set a new PR in the shot put with a distance of 30-10.25 at the Twin ports Open. Then this past meet, Gehrig hit a new PR in the weight throw with a mark of 44-8.75.

Goodwin will compete in the mile and the 4x400 relay. This will be the first time Goodwin has run in the mile since setting a program record time of 5:11.25 during the Twin Ports Invite. This will be her second time running in the 4x400 relay.

Alaina Hall will compete in the 60 and 200-meter, along with the long jump. Hall has competed in both the 60 and long jump in each indoor meet this season. Her top mark so far has been a time of 7.71 during the first visit to Duluth and then a distance of 17-6.75 in the long jump, also in Duluth. This will be just her second time running the 200 and first since the trip to Duluth.

Lily Johnson will compete in the 400 and 800-meter, along with the 4x400 relay. Johnson has run a leg of the 4x400 relay in two other meets so far this indoor season. This will be her second time running the 400, posting a time of 1:08.48 in the event at the Twin Ports Invite. This will be her first time competing in the 800 this indoor season.

Anastasia Klein will compete in the pole vault. She's competed in the event in all three meets this indoor season with a top season distance of 10-8 (twice).

Maggie McCarthy will enter in the 800-meter. This will be her third time competing in the event this indoor season, setting a new collegiate PR time of 2:33.25 during the first trip to Duluth.

Carol Miller will compete in the mile. During the Twin Ports Invite, Miller set a new PR time of 5:35.14 in the event. This will be her third time running in the event this season and second time in Duluth.

Olivia Olson will enter in the 60-meter and pole vault.  This will be her first time entering in both events this indoor season.

Mikenna Pattrin will enter in the shot put and weight throw. She set a new PR in the shot put during the Twin Ports Invite with a distance of 37-1. Then earlier during the first visit to Duluth set a new PR in the weight throw with a mark of 51-1.

Zayda Priebe will compete in the shot put and weight throw. Priebe, in her first collegiate meet that was also in Duluth, hit a top distance so far in the shot put of 37-10.5. Her top weight throw mark occurred at the Twin Ports Invite with a distance of 34-5.5.

Callie Resller will enter in the mile and 4x400 relay. She set a new collegiate PR time of 5:57.61 in the mile during the first visit to Duluth and will be running in the 4x400 for the first time this indoor season.

Cassidy Schmidt will compete in the shot put and weight throw. In her first collegiate meet that was in Duluth, she set a current top distance of 29-10 in the shot put. Last time out at the UND Open, she hit a new distance of 30-7 in the weight throw.

Amanda Smith will enter in the 200 and 400-meter, along with the 4x400 relay. This will be the second meet Smith has entered this indoor season. She ran the 60 and 200-meter during the Twin Ports Invite. This will be her first time running the 400 and a leg of the 4x400 relay this season.

Abby Syverson will compete in the 600-meter and the 4x400 relay. She set a new PR time of 1:41.52 in the 600 during the first trip to Duluth and will be running a leg of the 4x400 relay for the third time this indoor season.

Nadia Vaughn will compete in the 4x400 relay. This will be her second time entering in the relay with the other occurrence happening in Duluth to start the indoor season.

Gwendoline Yuoso will enter in the mile. She set a new PR time of 5:50.14 in the event during the first trip to Duluth.
