BEMIDJI, Minn. – Isabela Nelson and Lily Jones put together strong seasons both on the court and in the classroom and were named to the College Sports Communicators All-District Team.

The Academic All-District Tennis Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student- athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution. Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot.

Nelson, a junior from Thief River Falls, Minn., holds a 3.72 GPA and is majoring in exercise science. She was a regular in the lineup for the Beavers throughout the 2022-23 season. Nelson played half of her singles matches at both the No. 4 and No. 5 positions. In doubles, Nelson played all but one match at No. 2. Nelson tallied a win in both singles and doubles.

Jones, a sophomore from Brainerd, Minn., holds a 3.62 GPA and is majoring in marketing communications. She tallied three singles wins on the season playing at No. 5 and No. 6. In doubles, Jones collected three wins all at No. 3.
