BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Bemidji State University Men's Golf team added graduate student Brandon Bervig to the roster for the 2023-24 season. Bervig transfers from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs to BSU after four seasons with the Mountain Lions.
"Brandon decided he was not done with college golf. He will be a solid fit for Bemidji State in his final year," head coach Ekren Miller said. "He brings the talent and experience of an upperclassman who has been to the postseason of the NCAA Regionals. We are excited for the new dynamic in 2023-24."
Bervig has competed in 69 rounds with the Mountain Lions with an average 75.00 strokes per 18 holes. Last season he had his best finish of his collegiate career at the 2023 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championship, tied for eighth finishing two under par. The Colorado Springs, Colo., native was a part of two Super Regional qualifying teams.
In his four seasons with UCCS Bervig was named to the Dean's List all four years and graduated Cum Laude. He has also been named to the RMAC All-Academic First Team and was a Cleveland/Srixon Academic All-American.
In high school Bervig racked up the accolades. At Liberty High School in Colorado Springs, Colo., he was a four-time All-Conference, three-time All-Region, two-time All-State (First Team in 2018), 2017 All-Region Golfer of the Year and was named Liberty High School Athlete of the Year his senior year.
