Daniels joins Women’s Basketball coaching staff

BEMIDJI, Minn. – Sean Daniels, most recently serving as an assistant coach at Eastern Nazarene College, will join the Bemidji State University Women's Basketball coaching staff as their new assistant coach announced head coach Chelsea Stoltenberg.

"We are excited to have Sean join our staff," Stoltenberg said. "He will bring new skill sets into our program that will benefit both on and off court operations."

Daniels was at Eastern Nazarene College in Massachusetts since 2022 serving as the assistant men's basketball coach. Prior to that, Daniels was the assistant men's basketball coach at Graceland University in Iowa for one season. Daniels began his coaching career in 2018 serving as both the assistant coach and later the interim head coach of the women's basketball team at Sisseton Wahpeton College in South Dakota. He also had a stop at Kentucky Christian College for two seasons as the assistant men's basketball coach.

"The game of basketball has taken me many places and after my very first conversation with Coach Stoltenberg, I knew Bemidji State would be an amazing place to be," Daniels said. "I am extremely excited to be here and cannot wait to get to work!"

Daniels, a native of Detroit, Mich., received his bachelor's degree from Finlandia University in Michigan where he also played on the men's basketball team. He is currently finishing his master's degree from Eastern Nazarene College.
