Ticketmaster “All-In Pricing” to go in effect January 1

Bemidji State Hockey ticketmaster all-in pricing to take effect Jan. 1 after Minnesota Ticketing Law

BEMIDJI, Minn. – On January 1, 2025 the recently passed Minnesota Ticketing Law will finally go into effect. What Bemidji State University Hockey fans will see on Ticketmaster.com is the use of "All-in Pricing" which will be required across all ticketing platforms online.

"All-in Pricing" includes ticket face value and all fees/charges wrapped up into one price at the time of ticket selection (taxes excluded, tax on any fees/charges will always be calculated on the back end for all Ticketmaster transactions),

In the past, fans would see the face value/facility fee of the ticket when selecting your ticket and have all other taxes and fees calculated at checkout, completely hidden and unavailable to be seen by the consumer during seat selection.

This will make tickets to all Bemidji State Hockey games on sale much higher priced than previously advertised and to an uninformed public this could cause some chaos. Bemidji State Hockey ticket prices are NOT going up.

If fans wish to avoid Ticketmaster fees, they are encouraged to purchase their tickets in person at the Sanford Center Ticket Office.

FAQs
  1. No, Tickets for BSU Hockey did not increase halfway through the season, nor did they go up at all.
  2. No Ticketmaster fees did not increase.
  3. No, this has nothing to do with price increases on anything.
  4. Ticketmaster is and will still be the only authorized ticketing platform for BSU Hockey.
  5. Ticketmaster is simply following the new law by showing your upfront cost per ticket at time of selection, not bits and pieces and then suddenly a grand total at checkout. The price you see is the price you would pay online regardless of presentation, the new way is just transparent beforehand.
  6. Third Party resellers will have to follow the new Minnesota Ticketing Law, which should help consumers, however this does not mean that people should be purchasing their tickets from any other place besides Ticketmaster.com or the Sanford Center Ticket Office, you will not be getting a better deal elsewhere.
  7. The Law was meant to provide better price/fee transparency to the consumer and provide a better buying experience and combat predatory third-party resellers. If people do not want to purchase their tickets online that is completely fine, however, do not let the law and changes discourage people from buying tickets to BSU Hockey/Sanford Center Events because Ticketmaster is making things look "weird" online. People will be seeing everything correctly, just in a different order than normal.
  8. People are encouraged to buy their tickets early to get the best seat availability across all price levels, ensure they are purchasing from ONLY Ticketmaster.com or the Sanford Center Ticket Office.
