BEMIDJI, Minn. – Senior
Koby Kuenzel carded a career-low, two-round score of 142 including a career-low round of 68 on day two to help the Bemidji State University Men's Golf team tie for third at the Maverick Desert Classic held at the Palm Valley Golf Club in Good Year, Ariz.
The Beavers totaled a team score of 590 (300-290, +14) to tie for third in the tournament and finished one stroke back of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference tournament leader, Concordia University-St. Paul.

Kuenzel paced the Beavers firing a two-under par 142 (74-68) and tied for third individually. He was followed by senior
Brandon Bervig who carded 150 (78-72) while sophomore
Caden Lick (74-77=151), sophomore
Logan Schoepp (74-68=152) and junior
Tate Usher (81-73=154) were close behind to round out the Beavers' five scorers.
Competing as an individual, junior
Rory Wutzke fired a five-over par 149 (77-72) to tie for 19
th while freshmen
Charlie Williams (79-75=154) and
Teagan LaPlante (77-80=157) also competed as individuals.
The Beavers will have the next two weeks off and return to action March 25-26 for the NSIC Preview Tournament in Blue Springs, Mo., at Adams Pointe Golf Course, site of the 2024 NSIC Spring Championships.
