BEMIDJI, Minn. – Bemidji State University Cross Country heads on the road for the final race of the season, the NCAA Central Regional in Joplin, Mo. at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Running for the Beavers will be
Maggie McCarthy,
Aspen Rohde,
Callie Ressler,
Nadia Vaughn and
Sophie Rylance. McCarthy and Vaughn have run the race twice, the first in 2022 and second in 2023. McCarthy took 137
th in 2022 and landed ten spots higher in 2023, both races earned her personal best times. Vaughn marked 170
th in 2022 followed by 169
th in 2023. Ressler joined the lineup in 2023, finishing 208
th at 27:05.87, setting her personal best.
The last time the Beavers ran this race was 2023 when seven Beavers took on the race with then senior Mary Goodwin finished in 66
th. Her finish was the third highest of any Beaver runner since their first appearance in the race in 2002. Since that year, BSU has seen a total of nine student-athletes finish in the top 100. Ryne Prigge's 47
th-place finish is the highest all time, set in 2019.
Saturday's race kicks off at 10 a.m. from the Tom Rutledge Cross Country Course. Live timing is available through Midwest Timing.
