BEMIDJI, Minn. – Bemidji State University Cross Country heads west to Moorhead, Minn. Friday to take part in the Minnesota State University Moorhead Dragon Twilight at Nemzek Stadium. 
 
The women's 5,000-meter race will be the second to last of the night, an event that is comprised of nine separate races ranging from elementary and middle school, varsity and junior varsity to college level. Live streaming of the race is available through Midco Sports and live timing can be found here.
 
The Beavers return three runners from last season in junior Sophie Rylance and sophomores Jazzlyn Hanenberger and Makayla Waldron. Rylance will look to beat her personal best 5K time of 19:29.6 set last season at the Augustana University Twilight. Hanenberger also set her best in the same meet, 30 seconds behind Rylance at 19:59.6. Waldron did not compete in a 5K race last season, running in the Jimmie XC 6K Invite and NSIC Championships 6K towards the end of the season. 
 
BSU will have time for tune-ups between MSUM and the next meet, set for Sep. 25 at the Augustana Invitational in Sioux Falls, S.D. More info on future meets will be available closer to the races.
