BEMIDJI, Minn. – Bemidji State University Men's Hockey senior goaltender Mattias Sholl signed his first professional contract to play for the Greenville Swamp Rabbits of the ECHL Thursday afternoon.
 
Sholl, a native of Hermosa Beach, Calif., ended his collegiate career Saturday, March 15 following the Beavers' loss to No. 16 Minnesota State University Mankato in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association Mason Cup Semifinal.
 
Appearing in 117 career games for the Beavers throughout his four-year career, Sholl ranks as one of the top goaltenders in the program's Division I era. He ranks second in program history in wins (52) and saves (2775), fifth in shutouts (6), sixth in goals against average (2.58) and seventh in saves percentage (.904).
 
Among all goaltenders to ever attend Bemidji State (69 seasons), he is second in minutes played (6852), third in saves, ninth in goals against average, tied for 10^th in victories and 11^th in save percentage.
 
During the 2024-25 season, Sholl went 14-17-5 in between the pipes posting a .897 save percentage and 2.78 goals against average. He recorded the second most saves in a single season at Bemidji State with 890 and played the second most minutes in a season.
 
He was previously named the CCHA Goaltender of the Year and All-CCHA First Team selection in 2023-24, while earning All-CCHA Second Team and CCHA All-Rookie Team in 2022-23 and 2021-22.
