BEMIDJI, Minn. – Bemidji State University Softball will travel to Orlando, Fla. this week to kick off The Spring Games, hosted at Legends Sports Complex in Clermont, Fla. Mar. 6-14. The Beavers will compete in 14 games over the week.
BSU kicks off the week with an 8 a.m. CST matchup against the College of Staten Island and a 10:15 contest against Ashland University on Thursday, Mar. 6. The following morning will see the Beavers taking on West Virginia Wesleyan College and Clarion University. On Saturday, BSU will take on Indiana University of Pennsylvania at 8 a.m. and Glenville State University at 10:15 a.m.
Bemidji State will have a day off on Sunday before taking on Northwood University and Point Park University at 1 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. Monday afternoon. The following morning, the Beavers will play Bentley University and Lake Erie College at 10:30 a.m. and 3:15 p.m., respectively. One more day off on Wednesday is scheduled before the Beavers play Queens College and University of Indianapolis Thursday. They'll close the trip out with Emporia State University and Saint Martin's University Friday afternoon.
The Beavers are 5-5 this season after splitting both the Kelly Laas Memorial Tournament and Lewis Dome Invitational in February. They're currently on a three-game winning streak after taking down Roosevelt University, Upper Iowa University and Hillsdale College at the Lewis Tournament. Last year, the Beavers marked three wins at The Spring Game. Similar to this season, they played West Virginia Wesleyan but fell 15-1 in five innings.
