WATERLOO, Iowa – Seven members of the Bemidji State University Men's Golf Team finished inside the top-20 at the Upper Iowa Invitational as the Beavers finished second among 12 teams at the tournament held at the Sunnyside Country Club in Waterloo, Iowa over the weekend.a

The Beavers sent all 16 student-athletes to compete at the two-round, two-day tournament with the "A" team placing second with a team score of 605 (307-298) and eight-strokes behind tournament champion William Jewell College.

Senior
Tate Usher led the Beavers carding a six-over par 150 (76-74) and tied for sixth individually. He was closely followed by graduate senior
Koby Kuenzel who tied for 10
th with an eight-over par 152 (78-74).
Jack Southard (76-77=153),
Brogan Paschal (81-73=154) and
Logan Schoepp (77-78=155) rounded out the Beavers' "A" team and all placed in the top-20.

Bemidji State also sent 11 student-athletes to compete as individuals.
Ryan Schmit (77-78) led the group carding a career-low 155.
Alex Tanner also shot 155 (80-75) to close-out the Beavers' top-20 finishers.

Charlie Williams (80-80=160),
Caden Lick (84-77=161),

Riley McGovern (85-83=168) all competed at the tournament.

The Beavers now wait until April 15 when they travel to Spring Hill, Kan., for a match-play round against Rockhurst University before beginning the NSIC Men's Golf Championships April 17-18 in Blue Springs, Mo.
