BEMIDJI, Minn. – Bemidji State University Track and Field travels to Mankato and Moorhead, Minn. for the Minnesota State University, Mankato Maverick Open and the Concordia College Cobber Open Friday and Saturday, respectively.
Friday's Maverick Open kicks off with the throwers at noon along with track events starting at 2:30 p.m. and is available for streaming on the NSIC Network. The Beavers will be sending their throwing unit, along with multi competitor Mille Rosaeg, to compete in the 100m hurdles, discus throw, javelin and long jump.
Competing for the Beavers at the Maverick open are
Maya Wagner,
Trista Bilden,
Elle Bettcher and
Zoe Lennon in both the discus and javelin throws,
Mikenna Pattrin and Mille Rosaeg in javelin and
Zayda Priebe in discus. Rosaeg will also participate the 100m hurdles and long jump.
Saturday, Bemidji State will take on the Cobber Open in Moorhead beginning with field events at 1 p.m. The javelin, hammer, discus and shot put will happen simultaneously at a 1 p.m. start time. Pole vault, high jump and long jump will begin alongside the 3000-meter steeplechase at 2 p.m. with triple jump following long jump. Over on the track, the 4x100 relays begin at 2:45 p.m. followed by the 1500-meter run and 110- and 100-meter hurdles. The event is scheduled to conclude with the 4x400-meter relay at 5:35 p.m.
The Beavers will close out their team season with a trip to the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championships in Duluth, Minn. next weekend. Events in Duluth will start Thursday, May 8 at 1 p.m. with the decathlon. The individual events start Friday at 10 a.m. and run until the awards ceremony Saturday at 5 p.m.
