PARKSIDE, Wis. – Bemidji State University Volleyball student-athletes
Grace Hoffard and
Madison Tripp were named to the Hampton Inn Invitational All-Tournament Team, hosted by University of Wisconsin-Parkside, Tuesday morning.
Tripp, a freshman setter from Kaukauna, Wis., appeared in all 14 sets across the four-match weekend. She earned the Beavers 6.5 points with both a solo and an assisted block, two service aces and three kills. She also marked 91 set assists. Tripp set a career high with three kills and four points in the match against Roosevelt University Thursday, along with matching her best for digs at 12 against UW-Parkside.
A sophomore middle, Hoffard also appeared in all 14 sets for the Beavers, marking 33 kills for a .369 attack percentage. She added one assist to
Katrina Thompson against McKendree University Friday, the second of her career. Hoffard marked six digs, a solo block and six assisted throughout the weekend. In total, she earned the Beavers 37 points over the four-match tournament, averaging 9.25 points per match.
The Beavers now look to kick off Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play by hosting Southwest Minnesota State University Friday at 6 p.m. and the University of Sioux Falls Saturday at 4 p.m. Both matches are available on the NSIC Network for streaming.
