LAKE CITY, Minn. – For the second time during the spring season, the Bemidji State University Men's Golf team finished in the top two coming in second of 11 at The Jewel Invitational at The Jewel Golf Club in Lake City, Minn., Monday-Tuesday. The Beavers fired a 16-under par 560 (279-281) to finish behind hosts Winona State University.

Freshman
Julius Arenkiel led the Beavers after he shot a career-low 137 (67-70) that included a career-low round 67 in round one. Arenkiel tied for third at the tournament for his second top-five finish of the season.
Teagan LaPlante followed and tied for 12
th with a score of 141 (72-69), one stroke back of tying a career-low. He was followed closely by
Brogan Paschal and
Cullen Ryan who tied for 18
th with scores of 142. Paschal shot rounds of 69 and 73 while Ryan carded back-to-back rounds of 71.
Logan Schoepp tied for 27
th shooting 146 (75-71) to round out the Beavers' five scorers.
Ryan Schmit (73-78=151) and
Charlie Williams (74-79=153) each competed as individuals in the tournament for BSU.

Bemidji State will have the weekend off and will next compete at the Skip Wagon Invitational in Edmond, Okla., Oct. 6-7.
