BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Bemidji State University Women's Golf team opened its 2026-27 season with its home tournament the Tracy Lane Memorial at the Bemidji Town and Country Club Sept. 14-15. The Beavers posted rounds of 361 and 365 to finish third among four teams with a 36-hole team score of 726 (+150).
 
University of North Dakota claimed the team title with a score of 639 (+63), followed by University of Sioux Falls at 646 (+70). Minnesota State University, Moorhead rounded out the four-team field in fourth place with a score of 736 (+160).
 
Leading the way for the Beavers was Sara Sroga, who carded rounds of 85 and 87 to finish 13th overall with a 172 (+28).
 
Haylee Kammann finished 17th after shooting 92-92-184 (+40), while Bailey Tilley placed 18th with a 36-hole score of 186 (+42) following rounds of 87 and 99. Lauren Kammann recorded scores of 97 and 92 to tie for 19th place at 189 (+45), and Eleanor Carlson completed the team scoring lineup in 21st place with a score of 191 (+47).
 
Competing as individuals, Nakomis Mitchell placed 23rd after posting rounds of 103 and 101 for a total of 204 (+60), while Amelia Michael finished 24th at 226 (+82).
 
The tournament medalist was Gigi Lund of North Dakota, who fired rounds of 77 and 78 to finish at 155 (+11), one stroke ahead of Gwen Latunski of Sioux Falls.
 
Bemidji State returns to action Sept. 21-22 when it travels to compete at the The Jewel Invitational in Lake City, Minn.
