DULUTH, Minn. - The Bemidji State tennis team dropped a pair of matches against Minnesota Duluth and SW Minnesota St. on Saturday, April 3 and Sunday, April 4. The Bulldogs staged a 7-2 win over the Beavers on Saturday, while the Dragons dispatched BSU by a 6-3 clip in Sunday’s contest.

Thea Kinney notched the Beavers lone singles point on Saturday with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Holly Dollerschell. Kinney also teamed with Holly Gilberton to tally an 8-6 victory at number one doubles over Kara Skildum and Stacy Schulz.

On Sunday, the Beavers netted a pair of wins in singles play. Breck Rolfsrud topped Katy Granheim 6-2, 6-1 at number two and Angie Harrison defeated Katie Schmidt 6-2, 6-1 at number five. The number three doubles duo of Rolfsrud and Harrison recorded an 8-0 triumph over Katie Schmidt and Nicole Hartman.

The Beavers are now 3-9 overall and 0-5 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference competition this season. BSU will play conclude its regular season at the NSIC Championships on April 17-18 on the campus of Winona State.
