BEMIDJI, Minn. – Bemidji State University Women's Tennis student-athletes Ana Lucía Ibáñez Castro,
Mia Leshem,
Valesca Rodriguez and
Lauren Rutten each earned College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honors in women's tennis announced Tuesday.

Ibáñez Castro and Rodriguez earn the recognition for the second time in their careers while Leshem and Rutten earn the distinction for the first time. Ibáñez Castro boasts an impressive 3.96 grade-point average with majors in Psychology and Exercise Science. Rodriguez boasts a 3.63 GPA in Computer Science. Leshem boasts a 3.77 GPA in Business Administration and Rutten boasts a 3.82 GPA in Bio-Chemistry and Molecular Biology.

To be eligible for the CSC Academic All-District Team, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically. An undergraduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and a graduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) as both an undergraduate and a grad student. Along with academic requirements, the student-athletes must be in the lineup for 75-percent of an institution's days of competition.
