Box Score BEMIDJI, Minn. - [box score]The Bemidji State University tennis team failed to record a team point Sunday morning at the Gillett Recreation/Fitness Center as Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference foe Winona State University captured a 9-0 victory.

The Beavers got off to a rocky start dropping the double matches in decisive fashion. Only the No. 3 doubles team of Julie Kapsner (Fr., Pierz, Minn.) and Amy Erickson (Fr., Roseau, Minn.) were able to steal a single game from the Warriors.

The 2005 NSIC Champion Warriors went on to take the singles competition dominating from the top to the bottom garnering wins at all six positions to complete the sweep.

The loss marks the seventh consecutive match the Warriors have taken the Beavers dating back to a 7-2 BSU win Feb. 13, 1999. It also marks the second consecutive and fourth time during the streak the WSU has swept Bemidji State.

Additionally, BSU's Kelly Hill was defeated by Courtney Zinter (WSU) 8-0 in exhibition play.

The loss drops BSU to 0-4 overall and 0-3 versus NSIC competition while WSU improves to 2-0 and 1-0 versus the league.

After stepping back from competition for a week, the Beavers will be back in action Feb. 25 and 26 when they travel to the Twin Cities for a pair of non-conference tilts. Saturday (Feb. 25) the team is set to meet Northwestern College at 7:30 p.m. in Fridley and will battle Hamline University in St. Paul, Minn. at 8 a.m. the following morning.
