Box Score St. PAUL, Minn. - [box score] The Bemidji State University tennis team was served its sixth loss of the season Sunday as the Pipers of Hamline University swept the Beavers, 9-0, at the Walker Fieldhouse in St. Paul, Minn.

The Beavers got their best shot at scoring a team point in the No. 1 doubles match. BSU's team of Melissa Fogelson (Bemidji, Minn.) and Kali Welu (Pequot Lakes, Minn.) took Kristen Bothun and Kelly Gust to 8-4 before bowing out of their match.

"I was please with the effort of each member of our team," stated BSU head tennis Coach Dr. Tom Hokanson. "I really don't think the scores were indicative of how well we played or how close the matches really were."

The loss drops BSU to 0-6 overall while the team is 0-3 versus NSIC competition while Hamline improves to 3-1 overall.

The Beavers will be back in action next weekend when they travel to the University of Minnesota Duluth. The match is slated to begin at 10 a.m. at the Arrowhead Tennis Center.
