WAYNE, Neb. – Bemidji State University Cross Country finished the regular season with a 10
th-place finish at the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Cross Country Championships in Wayne, Neb.
Maggie McCarthy continued her trend of forging a path for the Beavers, finishing 20
th with a time of 22:52.7, less than two seconds away from a season best time in the 6K.
Sophie Rylance grabbed her season best, taking 50
th with a time of 24:02.90, around nine seconds off of her personal best time of 23:53.4. Senior
Nadia Vaughn also found a season best, finishing 71
st with a 24:29.20, three spots ahead of freshman
Jazzlyn Hanenberger at 74
th with a time of 24:32.8, setting a PR.
The second half of the Beavers' lineup was headed by
Ava Werner at 103, finishing with a time of 25:59.2. Senior
Callie Ressler followed with a time of 26:45.4. In her first conference championship with the Beaver cross country program,
Aspen Rohde finished 125
th at a personal best time of 27:56.6, followed closely by
Sydnie Price in 128
th at a season best time of 28:21.9. Freshman
Makayla Waldron rounded out the roster with a 28:29.00 personal best time, landing in 130
th.
Following this weekend's trip to Wayne, the Beavers will prepare for the NCAA Central Regional. The NCAA Central Regional will take place on Saturday, November 8th at the Tom Rutledge CC Course in Joplin, Missouri. The NCAA Championships are set for Saturday, November 22 at Wayne E Danehl National CC in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
