Bemidji State Tennis begins spring season with matches against Minnesota Crookston, St. Scholastica and Minnesota Duluth

BSU Women’s Tennis to host Minnesota Crookston before traveling to Duluth to face St. Scholastica and UMD

BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Bemidji State University Women's Tennis team officially kicks-off its 2025 spring season Friday afternoon and hosts University of Minnesota Crookston at Gillett Wellness Center at 4:00 p.m. Friday afternoon. The Beavers will then travel east to Duluth, Minn., where they will play College of St. Scholastica and University of Minnesota Duluth Saturday, Feb. 8.
 
The Beavers will play their first of four home matches Friday at the Gillett Wellness Center on the campus of Bemidji State. BSU was voted by Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference coaches to finish ninth in the 2025 NSIC Preseason Coaches' Poll with graduate and two-time All-NSIC selection Sophie Groen selected as the Beavers' Player to Watch.
 
All three matches will be part of non-conference competition with conference play beginning Feb. 22 at Minnesota Duluth. The Beavers see the Golden Eagles first who were picked to tie for fifth in the NSIC Preseason poll.
 
BSU will then face the Saints and Bulldogs for a doubleheader Saturday beginning with the Saints at 10:30 a.m. followed by the Bulldogs at 2:30 p.m.
 
Head coach Kyle Fodness begins his fifth season as head coach of the Beaver Tennis program and returns five letterwinners from last year's squad while welcoming five newcomers to the team.
