BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Bemidji State University Women's Tennis team returns to Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action this weekend and faces University of Sioux Falls and No. 16 Augustana University for a pair of league matches in Fargo, N.D.

The Beavers begin the weekend facing the Cougars of Sioux Falls Friday, March 21 at 11:30 a.m. Bemidji State will then face No. 16 Augustana Saturday at 8:30 a.m.

Bemidji State is led by graduate
Sophie Groen who has played six matches at No. 1 singles this season and is 5-1. She is followed by freshman
Mia Leshem who is 4-0 at No. 2 singles and 5-0 overall. Sophomore
Valesca Rodriguez in 2-2 at No. 3 singles and 4-3 overall while sophomore Ana Lucia Ibanez is 0-4 at No. 4 singles, 2-5 overall,
Lauren Rutten 3-1 at No. 5 singles and 5-2 overall and
Julia Lindseth is 1-3 at No. 6 singles and 2-4 overall.

Groen and Leshem pair up for No. 1 doubles action and are undefeated in their four matches as a team. Ibanez and Rodriguez are 2-2 at No. 2 doubles and Lindseth and Rutten are 0-3 at the No. 3 spot.
