BEMIDJI, Minn. – Bemidji State University Track and Field travels to Grand Forks, N.D. Friday and Saturday for the University of North Dakota Open. Friday's action is reserved for multis while full events are scheduled for Saturday.
The pentathlon and heptathlon are set to begin at 3 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Friday. The Beavers do not have any student-athletes scheduled to compete in the multis, but throwers will take to the circle at 5 p.m. for the discus throw.

Allison LaVine and
Josie Rystedt are all entered to compete in discus.
Field events kick off at 11 a.m. Saturday morning with the jumps, followed by throws and vaults at 12 p.m. Events on the track are set for a 2 p.m. start with the 5000-meter run. BSU has student-athletes entered into the 60-meter dash, 60-meter hurdles, 200-meter, 400-meter, 1000-meter, one mile and 3000-meter runs.
Allison LaVine is set to compete in the high jump while
Hailey Selly is scheduled for the long jump.
Chloe Knott and
Kathryn Freymiller will take on the pole vault. Baker, Bettcher, Bilden, Rystedt,
Kate Martin and
Emma Green will also throw in shot put and discus. The day rounds out with the women's 4x400 meter run where
Amelia Congrove,
Josie Aitken,
Sophie Rylance and
Allison LaVine are set to compete together.

Next week, BSU heads to Fargo, N.D. for the Bison Open hosted by North Dakota State University on Feb. 7. The team will then head to the Ted Nelson Meet at Minnesota State University, Mankato Feb. 14 and back to UND for the UND Tune Up Feb. 20. The indoor season concludes with the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Indoor Championships Feb. 27 and 28 in Mankato.
