BURNSVILLE, Minn. – Bemidji State University Men's Golf senior Teagan LaPlante has been named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Men's Golfer of the Week following a career performance at the Tulsa Cup.

The Roseau, Minn., native finished second among the tournament's individual competitors after posting a 54-hole score of 6-under par, 210. LaPlante carded rounds of 71, 67 and 72, finishing just one stroke behind the individual medalist.

LaPlante opened the tournament with a 1-under 71 before firing a tournament-low 5-under 67 during the second round. The 67 was also the lowest round recorded by a Bemidji State golfer at the event. He completed the tournament with an even-par 72, giving him two rounds at or below par.

His 210 marked the lowest 54-hole score of his collegiate career, improving his previous career best by four strokes. LaPlante's performance helped Bemidji State finish fifth in the 15-team field with a three-round team score of 874.
