EDMOND, Okla. – The Bemidji State University men's golf team wrapped up play at the Skip Wagnon Invitational Tuesday, finishing tied for 10th place in a 16-team field at KickingBird Golf Club in Edmond, Okla.

The Beavers posted rounds of 274, 279 and 282 to finish the 54-hole tournament with a team score of 835 (-5). Host University of Central Oklahoma captured the team title at 800, followed by Oklahoma Christian (807) and Harding University (814).

Leading the way for BSU was
Jack Hagberg, who carded rounds of 69, 65 and 69 to finish seven-under-par for the tournament. Hagberg tied for 15th individually in the 94-player field and was remarkably consistent throughout the event, recording 12 birdies over three rounds.

Charlie Williams delivered another strong showing for the Beavers, finishing at two-under-par and tied for 30th after rounds of 68, 71 and 69. Williams opened the tournament with a two-under 68 and closed with a one-under 69, highlighted by four birdies in the final round.

Valentin Ortiz and
Myles Jorde each finished tied for 50th at two-over-par. Ortiz fired a tournament-opening 68 before adding rounds of 71 and 73. Jorde was consistent throughout the event, posting scores of 69, 72 and 71. Rounding out the lineup was
Teagan LaPlante, who tied for 71st at seven-over-par. LaPlante recorded rounds of 69, 73 and 75 during the three-day event.

The Beaves continue fall golf and next compete at the Washburn Invite in Topeka, Kan., Oct. 19-20.
