JOPLIN, Mo. – The Bemidji State University Cross Country team continued its pace as the programs fastest team in history and improved on its time at the NCAA Women's Cross Country Central Regional Saturday afternoon.
The Beavers averaged a team time of 23:48 at the 6,000-meter race held at the Tom Rutledge Cross Country Course in Joplin, Mo. Compared to last year's time at the event, the Beaver ran a full minute faster and placed 25
th of 35 teams ahead of last year's finish of 29
th.
Junior
Mary Goodwin paced the Beavers once again and finished 78
th of 184 athletes with a time of 22:31.53. Senior
Lexi Erickson followed with a time of 23:54.6.
Carol Miller,
Maggie McCarthy and
Nadia Vaughn all ran personal records in the race while
Zoey Mills ran a season best time of 24:27.7
