BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Bemidji State University Women's Soccer team returns to Chet Anderson Stadium in Bemidji this weekend and hosts Augustana University and Wayne State College for a pair of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference matches.
 
The Beavers (8-1-4, 6-1-2 NSIC) look to bounce back after their first loss of the season last weekend at University of Mary. The weekend kicks-off Friday, Oct. 20 with the Beavers hosting the Vikings (7-4-2, 5-3-1 NSIC) at 6 p.m., and then concludes Sunday at 1 p.m., when BSU hosts the Wildcats (5-6-2, 3-4-2 NSIC).
 
Sunday's match will also be Senior Day for the Beavers with Bemidji State Athletics recognizing the Beavers' three seniors in Madisanne Dahl, Halle Peterson and Maggie Cade before the match.

Bemidji State Notes

• Just five matches and three home matches remain in the 2023 regular season for the Beavers.
• Bemidji State is in a tight battle atop the 2023 NSIC Women's Soccer standings with just five points separating the top three teams.
• St. Cloud State University sits atop the standings with 25 league points and an 8-1-1 conference record while Minnesota State University, Mankato follows with 24. The Beavers sit third in the standings with 20 points and a 6-1-2 record and have one game in hand.
• The top four seeds shall host the first-round matches of the 2023 NSIC Soccer Tournament beginning Nov. 6 with the winners advancing to the semifinal and championship round at the highest remaining seed that Friday and Sunday.
• Bemidji State leads the NSIC with 25 goals this season while ranking second in the league with just seven goals allowed.
• The Beavers also lead the league with 69 corner kicks taken and have allowed the fewest shots on its goalkeeper with just 35 shots on goal allowed.
• Sophomore Katrina Barthelt leads the Beavers and the conference with nine goals this season and is tied for 18^th nationally.
• She is the conference leader in points with 20 and has recorded nine goals and two assists this season.
• Barthelt is followed by junior Maria Stocke and freshman Madeline Davey who have each tallied eight points with Stocke second on the team with four goals.
• A total of 10 different Beavers have scored a goal for Bemidji State this season.
• Junior goalkeeper Edie Frantzen has played every minute in between the posts for the Beavers this season and has posted an 8-1-4 record. She is second in the NSIC with a .538 goals against average and seventh in save percentage (.800).
• The Beavers have posted the second most shutouts in the conference (7) and are behind DII leaders Minnesota State (12).
• Bemidji State is coming off a 1-1-0 weekend after earning its first loss of season at Mary last Friday. The Beavers responded the following Sunday with a 3-0 dominant win over Minot State University, their second highest goal total of the season.
• Bemidji State is 10-7-4 all-time against Augustana and have won the last four matches versus the Vikings.
• The Beavers are 15-8-3 all-time versus the Wildcats and are 9-0-1 over the last 10 matches against WSC.
