ST. PAUL, Minn. – It was a solid Saturday for the Bemidji State University Women's Track and Field team coming away with 13 top-five results to highlight the Holst Invitational in St. Paul, Minn.
Natalie Fultz was close to her personal-best time in the 400-meter when she won the event with a time of 1:00.85 to come in first. Abby Syverson was right behind Fultz as they almost crossed at the same time when Syverson came in second with a new PR time of 1:00.90.
Fultz and Syverson then teamed with Olivia Olson and Abbie Disbrow to win the 4x100 relay with a time of 51.12.
Tierra Doss hit a new season-best in the discus hitting a mark of 135-00 to come in third. She also placed second in the shot put with a throw of 44-00.50. Following Doss in the discus, Zayda Priebe hit a big new PR reaching a distance of 119-03 to come in seventh. Alyssa Hill was right behind in ninth with a throw of 116-00. Cassidy Schmidt hit a mark of 96-00 and Alexis Gehrig had a throw of 88-00. In addition to Doss in the shot put, Priebe placed 11th hitting a distance of 35-06.00. Hill reached a mark of 32-03.00 and Schmidt added a throw of 30-05.00.
Lexi Erickson came in runner-up in the 800-meter with a time of 2:23.88. Erickson also competed in the high jump clearing 4-11 to come in fifth. Fultz also entered in the high jump clearing the same mark of 4-11 to end up ninth.
It was a new personal-best for Maggie McCarthy in the 3,000-meter steeplechase posting a time of 12:37.61 to come in fourth. Nadia Vaughn added a PR time as well coming in sixth at 12:47.38.
Anastasia Klein came in fourth to lead the Beavers in the pole vault clearing 10-08. Olson came in seventh with a mark of 10-02.
Syverson and Fultz competed in the 200-meter and nearly posted identical times. Syverson crossed at 27.15 for a new personal-best to place fifth, while Fultz came in sixth with a time of 27.23.
Olson posted a new PR in the 100-meter with a time of 12.83 to place fifth. Disbrow came in 11th with a time of 13.56.
Mary Goodwin came in fifth in the 1,500-meter with a time of 4:52.68. Carol Miller added a time of 5:14.76.
Disbrow came in fifth in the triple jump reaching a distance of 32-06.25.
Mikenna Pattrin led the Beavers in the hammer with a throw of 136-10 to come in 12th. Gehrig added a throw of 129-04 and Schmidt reached a distance of 88-11.
Pattrin also competed in the javelin coming in seventh with a throw of 101-00. Amanda Smith hit a new personal-best with a throw of 79-06. Gehrig reached a distance of 70-09.
The Beavers will now get set to compete in the Drake Relays and the Ron Masanz Classic this coming week.
