SUPERIOR, Wis. – The Bemidji State University Track and Field team returns to action this Saturday traveling to Superior to compete in the Twin Ports Open.
Bemidji State last competed on Dec. 9 in the St. Scholastica Open in Duluth. This weekend will setup a busy stretch for the Beavers competing every week leading up to the NSIC Championships on Feb. 23-24 in Mankato.
BSU will enter 13 events this Saturday. Josie Aitken, Janice Cole, Abbie Disbrow, Gabrielle Marks, Olivia Olson and Abby Syverson will all compete in the 60-meter. Natalie Fultz will enter in the 60-meter hurdles. Cole and Syverson will compete in the 200-meter. Fultz will enter in the 200-meter hurdles. Aitken will compete in the 400-meter. Syverson will enter in the 600-meter. Mary Goodwin, Carmen Lyon, Maggie McCarthy, Carol Miller, Sydnie Price and Hadley Stuehrenberg will all compete in the mile. Nadia Vaughn will enter in the 3,000-meter. Fultz will also enter in the high jump. Disbrow and Fultz will compete in the long jump. Olson will compete in the pole vault. Nine Beavers are set to enter in the shot put in Hannah Baker, Tierra Doss, Emma Erickson, Fultz, Zoe Lennon, Mikenna Pattrin, Zayda Priebe, Molly Saboo and Cassidy Schmidt. Baker, Erickson, Lennon, Pattrin and Schmidt will also enter the weight throw.
The Twin Ports Open will begin at 11:30 a.m. Live results will be available and can be found here. Following the trip to Superior, the Beavers will visit Grand Forks next Friday and Saturday to compete in the UND Open.
