Carl lettered all four years in football from 1943-47. He also lettered all four years in basketball from 1943-47. Was named basketball captain during the 1944-45 season. After his college career, Carl coached unbeaten high school football teams during the 1949-51 seasons. Coached District 30 Championship basketball teams, 1949-51. Coached District 30 Championship track Teams, 1950-51. State Department of Education, Supervisor of Health, Physical Education, and Safety. Carl Knutson Health Education Award; Established by MAHPERD.
