Jim Henkes was a 3 sport athlete at BSU, he lettered in Football, from 1950-1954. Was named twice All-NIC Football. He also lettered in Baseball, from 1950-1954, he was named twice All-NIC Baseball. Jim also lettered in Basketball, 1952-1953. After his athletic career at BSU Jim became a High School Coach for 24 Years. While he was coaching he was also a teacher and won the Teacher of the Year, in 1969. He became a athletic director and was named State Athletic Director of the Year. Runner-Up, 1973-1976. Retired from Teaching, in 1978.
