Mark Carlin lettered in basketball, golf, and football in his four years at BSU from 1963-1967. As captain of the men's basketball team, he led the Beavers in scoring in 1965-66 and 1966-67, paving the way for BSU to claim the Northern Intercollegiate Conference championship with an undefeated conference record. Mark broke two scoring records while wearing the Green and White, and is still in the BSU record books. He left BSU as the program’s leading scorer before the three-point shot, and still ranks fifth all-time in scoring with 1,410 and seventh in single-game scoring with 39 points vs. Augustana in 1967. He was named to the NIC All-Conference team in 1965, 1966 and 1967 and he was inducted into the BSU Athletic Hall of Fame in 1992 for his achievements and excellence as Beaver student-athlete.
