Marie Hasty was a member of BSU volleyball team from 1969-1970; Member BSU track team 1970; Member BSU field hockey team 1972; Member of All Conference and State Champion Team '72; Chair of BSU Women's Intramurals 1972-'73; Elsie K Annis Award Recipient in 1972; 1975 Outstanding Educator at Benson Schools where she taught for 13 years; While at Benson was co-curricular varsity volleyball, basketball and track coach and was Region 3A Track Coach of the Year in 1984; Taught in Chaska from 1986 - 1990 and served as Chaska's Activities Director (grades 7 - 12); Developed Leadership, Education and Practicum Curriculum; Created the Sportsmanship is Elementary Program;active in the Minnesota State High School League including serving on the Athletic Advisory Committee, Representative Assembly Member, Volleyball Evaluation Committee; Task Force for Non-School Participation; Transportation Committee; Chair, Committee to achieve MSHSL status for dance team; Served as West Central Conference Executive Secretary.
