Bemidji State University

While at BSU Dick Lawrence lettered in Basketball, 1951-52. Was named twice All-NIC Basketball. His team won NIC Basketball Champions both years he played. After his BSU athletic career he coached High School Football and his Coaching Record was 118-82-4. His team won Conference Champions, 1966, 1971, 1973. In 1973 his team won the Class "A" State Champion. Due to his success he recieved the 1973 Football Coach of the Year. Was named the 1974 Coach State All-Stars. 1979 President Minnesota Football Coaches Association.
