Donald was a one-sport athlete lettering in Baseball, 1963-64. After playing at BSU Donald Coached Basketball, from 1968-71. He also Coached Baseball, from 1968-88. While coaching his team won the Baseball Mid-State Conference Champions, from 1968-77. Central Lakes Conference Champions, 1983.  Minnesota High School AA Baseball Champions, 1979.
